Text: James 3:13-4:10

  1. It’s the way you live your life, not what you know or the way you talk that makes you wise.
  2. You can’t have it both ways – either you love God wholeheartedly or you are an enemy by your actions.
  3. God’s wisdom is seen through actions that are pure, peace-loving, considerate, submissive to him, full of mercy, bearing good fruit, impartial, and sincere.
  4. It’s important we don’t confuse intelligence with wisdom. Being in an intimate relationship with God is the only way to truly be wise.

Support the ministry and mission of Thornapple through the regular practice of giving generously from the financial resources entrusted to you by God.

      Your financial gifts can be:

      1. Made online through our online giving platform
      2. Mailed to the church office (6595 Cascade Rd. SE; Grand Rapids, MI 49546)
      3. Placed in the boxes in the back of the Sanctuary by each door (when we meet in person)

Whoever brings blessing will be enriched,
and one who waters will himself be watered.
      Prov. 11.25

Join us in welcoming Rob Pleune to Thornapple’s staff as the facilities manager. Ron just moved to the Caledonia area with his wife, Kara (both pictured at right), and this position looks to be a perfect fit. Be sure to stop and welcome him if you see him in the building.
