Following our annual tradition, Thornapple is holding a “reverse offering” for Safe Haven Ministries. On Sunday, April 18, you are invited to take a slip of paper from the board at the back of church or check the list of most-needed items and sign up online, purchase the item needed (you can buy one of the item or as many as you want), and return it the following Sunday (or during the week), when there will be tables in the Lobby outside of the Sanctuary for your food. There will also be coolers available for those bringing cold or frozen items. All food will be used by Safe Haven for women who have been victims of abuse and who currently reside in their emergency shelter.

Safe Haven’s focus is to end domestic abuse. They offer emergency shelter, support groups, safety planning, children’s programming, and prevention and education for victims of abuse in the Grand Rapids area. More info about Safe Haven Ministries here.
