WOMEN'S DAYTIME AND EVENING STUDIES

Study Options - Fall 2018 (start Sept .12)
Day Option 1, Bible Study (multiple small groups led by Lori Anderson, Tami DeJong, Sue Dunn or Melinda Rynbrandt). These small groups will be studying Nancy Gutherie's The Promised One.
You are invited to join a great community of women to see how the Old Testament scriptures help us see and know Jesus more deeply. Our study THE PROMISED ONE by Nancy Guthrie will help us understand the big picture of what God has done and is doing in the world. And just like the men on the road to Emmaus, we will have our eyes opened and our hearts burn within us as we read Genesis with gospel enlightened eyes. We would love you to grow with us into a revived and flourishing life with Jesus, the Promised One.
Day Option 2, Bible Study (group led by Jill Bolinder/Bonnie Bustrum). This group will be studying Philip Yancey's The Jesus I Never Knew.
"Philip Yancey helps reveal what two thousand years of history covered up. Based on his own curiosity and a class he taught at LaSalle Street Church in Chicago, Philip sets out to rediscover who Jesus is as described in the Gospels. He offers a new and different perspective on the life of Christ and his work. Yancey presents a complex character who generates questions as well as answers; a disturbing and exhilarating Jesus who wants to radically transform your life and stretch your faith. The Jesus I Never Knew uncovers a Jesus who is brilliant, creative, challenging, fearless, compassionate, unpredictable, and ultimately satisfying."
Day Option 3, Precepts Bible Study (Led by Roxanne Rathbun). Precepts will be studying the book of Leviticus for Fall 2018.
Precepts studies use the Inductive Study Method which is an investigative approach to Bible study using the Bible as the main source in order to learn about God and His Word and to enable you to discover truth for yourself. Precepts studies include homework.
Costs (materials, supplies and childcare): $35/semester; $70/year for all non-Precepts studies (Precepts is $16 and can be paid by cash or check on the first day). You will have the option to pay for each semester separately ($35 in September and $35 in January) or for the whole year at once ($70 in September). If you are unable to pay this amount, scholarships are available. Please contact Lynne McLaughlin with questions.
