Thornapple is part of a of a network of churches connected with Family Promise of West Michigan to provide housing for homeless families. Three weeks of the year Thornapple provides a safe place for families to sleep and eat in our building. During that time Family Promise continually works to find permanent housing for the families. Each time we host we need donations of various items (mostly food items) AND volunteers to serve during the week. Volunteer jobs include setting up rooms at the start of each week, driving, providing meals, being overnight hosts, tearing down rooms at the end of the week and doing laundry.
