Support the ministry and mission of Thornapple through the regular practice of giving generously from the financial resources entrusted to you by God.
Your financial gifts can be:
March giving exceeded the monthly budget and brought us closer to our year-to-date budget. Thanks for your generosity! It is also encouraging to note that our giving is $4,338 higher than the same period last year and the number of donors is unchanged.
- Made online through our online giving platform
- Mailed to the church office (6595 Cascade Rd. SE; Grand Rapids, MI 49546)
- Given during in-person worship on Sunday mornings

Nursery and Kingdom Kids | 10-11am | 4s-6th grade start in worship with families until they are dismissed around 10:20, parents can pick up children in the Lower Level following worship. The third Sundays of the month, 4-years-old-6th grade will return to worship for communion.
Middle School (7th-8th) | Start in worship with families and are released for large/small group time following the Rock Solid curriculum. The third Sundays of the month, students stay in worship with families for the whole service and communion.
HS Huddle | 6:30-8:30pm
Pine Rest Church Assistance Program
Complimentary counseling (and other programs – just say “I have a CAP with Thornapple Covenant Church” when you call to make an appointment) for you and your family and access to a virtual library of mental health resources (use the password “Thornapple” when prompted). Learn more HERE.
Stephen Ministry
Going through a crisis or having a difficult time? Maybe you could benefit from receiving care in a one-on-one partnership with a trained Stephen Minister. Contact Lynne McLaughlin

Making a Difference
- Family Promise Hosting | Sign Up to Help: April 28-May 5 | Volunteers and donations are needed to welcome six families into our church for the week. Learn more and sign up to volunteer HERE or donate items HERE.
- Hearts for Sewing | The sewing group still needs donations of 100% cotton flannel fabric, or monetary donations for us to purchase these supplies. All donations can be brought to the church office or you can contact Diane Kunkler for more information. Thanks to all who have donated.
- Help with Childcare for MOPS | Typically the first and third Thursdays of each month, 9-11:30am. If you’d like to help for just 1 or 2 dates, sign up here!
- Tech Booth Team | Sunday morning tech booth volunteers needed for on-screen slides, monitoring livestream sound and more (we'd love to add to our sound board volunteers but this requires more extensive training which we can provided to anyone interested in learning) - adults and teens welcome; training provided. Email Kimberly Korpak.
- Love hanging out with babies/toddlers? Children’s Ministry could use your help as a Nursery volunteer on Sunday mornings. Please contact Lisa Udell if you are able to help and she we get you on the schedule!

- Spring Seminars | Sundays, April 21/28 and May 5 following worship | Two options led by Lynne McLaughlin and Dave Nesburg. Learn more and register HERE.
- Fridays at the Fireside | 6:30-9pm, April 26, May 3/17/31 | Spend a Friday evening in the Sandstrom's backyard getting to know others from Thornapple, making smores and sharing stories around the campfire. Learn more and sign up HERE
- Spiritual Retreat | Saturday, May 11, 9am-Noon | Led by Pastors Julia and Lynne at the Franciscan Life Process Center. Coffee will be provided, feel free to bring your own snacks. Learn more and register (required) HERE.
- Prayer Gathering | Tuesday, May 14 at 6:30pm | Prayer is a mysterious and often challenging endeavor. One of the best ways to learn how to pray is to pray. Long time prayers and those who are new to prayer are invited to a guided prayer gathering. No one will have to pray aloud. Join us in person at 6:30 for an hour of prayer.

- VBS - June 24-27 for fall K-5th graders (6th grade and older are encouraged to volunteer as leaders for VBS - contact Lisa Udell to sign your student up as a volunteer.) Registration opens May 1 HERE.
